What is Starlight Farms?

Starlight Farms is an Animal Assisted Activity (AAA) farm based in Maui, Hawaii.  AAA is described as the use of animals in recreational and visitation programs to help people with special needs. We are not an “alternative” but a valued healing contributor for Individuals with mental, emotional, and/or developmental challenges. 

The Farm offers “hands on” farm animal opportunities for Maui’s special needs community. Therapists/caregivers engage their partners to interact with farm animals, be outside, run in a pasture, play in a barn, get out of the house, school, or clinic setting.  Pet a pig, laugh at the goats, lead a mini donkey over poles, snuggle with a rabbit, guinea pig, chick or……

Breathe clean air, on a wide open 25 acre upcountry pasture, while gazing up at Haleakala.
